As you might imagine, there can be many reasons for a toothache. Some of the common reasons that you might feel pain in your teeth include:
- A cavity
- An abscessed tooth
- Tooth decay
- Result of grinding your teeth
- Broken tooth
- Infected gums
- Malfunctioning dental work
Tooth pain can come in many forms, but generally it is either a constant throbbing, shooting pain in and around your teeth or pain in your jaw. If the pain has either very strong intensity, an obvious problem (i.e. malfunctioning dental work), or consists for 1-2 days it would be wise to set up an appointment with your dentist immediately. They will be able to diagnosis the problem and bring solutions to relieve the pain and resolve the problem.
