Advances in dentistry have made dental procedures more comfortable than ever. Modern tools, techniques, and anesthesia work wonders to alleviate discomfort and let dental professionals provide safe, efficient care. I’m Dr. Lee Fitzgerald, one of Dallas’ top implant dentists. At my Dental Implant Center, I’ve created a warm, inviting environment that boasts leading-edge technology and soothing amenities. I use proven sedation methods, tailored to the specific needs of each patient at every step in the implant placement and restoration process.
As my patient, expect customized care, exemplary service, and optimal comfort and safety. Whether you want to alleviate dental anxiety or experience total relaxation during your dental implant procedure, I’ll help you choose the appropriate sedation for your unique situation.
I offer the following types of sedation at my premier North Dallas implant center:
- Nitrous Oxide – Often referred to as laughing gas, this widely used anesthesia is inhaled through a comfortable mask. Nitrous oxide creates a sense of calm and alleviates discomfort. It’s fast-acting, and the effects subside almost immediately following removal of the mask.
- Oral Sedation – You’ll take a commonly prescribed sedative to enter into a near-sleep state of calm and relaxation. Nitrous oxide may be administered to deepen the effects of the sedative. Oral sedation diminishes gradually and often leaves patients with little or memory of treatment details.
- IV Sedation –Intravenous (IV) sedation is the deepest form of sedation I offer. It is administered directly into the bloodstream. I may recommend IV sedation for lengthy and/or complex procedures. The effects of IV sedation subside gently following IV removal.
I’ll help you prepare for your implant procedures by fully explaining treatment details and working with you to determine the sedation method that meets your unique needs. Patients from Dallas and surrounding suburbs rely on my skill and training as a leading implant dentist to deliver conservative treatment that’s in their best interests. You can, too.
